My music is gone from bandcamp and will not be returning. As some of you may already know bandcamp has begun to work with Stripe, a company that censors pornography, adult content, and also has a history of removing queer artists from their payment processing. Bandcamp was a home for me primarily because I was happy to support something which was for artists and anti-censorship, but this decision to work with Stripe marks a change for the worse. I'm not sure where my music will be hosted anymore, as independent hosting of art is difficult. I will host the point of division I album and the "it comes around" album on DistroKid. As for other things they will be uploaded to youtube eventually for ad-free expense-free streaming. But things will likely not be the same again. I'm looking into getting my other music on streaming but I'm not sure what the situation will be like as far as with censorship. Hopefully the content of albums will not be censored and it will only be album covers that are, but the situation is overall uncertain. We are facing an era of discrimination, censorship, and death of art. I will do what I can but unfortunately things are not looking good for artists. Thanks for reading.
Take care, and be well.
